Summer Rose Morrison

I started working with Summer Morrison on her greeting card line in 2006 and she is now landing children's book deals as well as running a full blown Custom Wedding Invite empire. I have been happy to work with her in creating and expanding her brand in the last few years. The latest being a series of ads that have been updated around her website/blog, and placed in Wisconsin Bride Magazine.

One of the most interesting ways that I have been able to help add value to the amazing product line that Summer is constantly improving was to develop custom typography solutions for each card and invite. Greeting card typography is something that has been dominated by script fonts and cheesy one liners. We tried to go beyond simple type setting and create type and graphics that enrich the themes of each card.

Greeting Card Catalog & Inserts

Building a greeting card catalog was the logical next step to expand Summer's reach into the greeting card industry. The most important part of the design is to hide the design. Summer's illustrations are so rich that they cannot be masked or hidden behind design and to do so would be counter intuitive. The final catalog highlights twelve cards per spread and each greeting.

The opportunity to work with Summer early in her career has allowed me to see her grow in every aspect. Marketing schemes and product development have grown over the last few years to a great understanding of the custom card & invite industry. I'm very excited to see what she comes up with next and hope to continue to be apart of her continued success.

Such a cute website.
